Fivel

Fivel is Rauma newest yarn quality. This is a 2-strand carding yarn, spun from the finest fibers from Norwegian sheep. The yarn is easy to spin and produces garments that are soft and airy. This is by far our softest wool yarn, which is equally suitable for textures, stockinette and pattern knitting. Garments knitted in Fivel become even softer after washing. It is also ideal for felting.

Yarn qualities in 100% wool provide garments that are warm and breathable even when damp. This makes the garments excellent for hiking and activities, as well as for everyday wear. Norwegian wool is particularly characterized by good durability, resilience and elasticity. Spun as a carded yarn, wool provides the ideal balance between functionality and comfort. The result is light, airy and easy-to-wear garments with a long service life.

Fivel is produced at Rauma factory in the beautiful Romsdalen valley where they card, twist, spin, wash, dye and skein the yarn from 100% Norwegian wool.
