Description
Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino is made from 100% merino wool. The yarn has a beautiful and natural structure. It's a soft and delicious yarn, slightly less fine than our fine Merino.
Our merino wool comes from sheep raised in New Zealand, where muzzling is not practiced.
Merino wool has many excellent properties. It regulates the temperature. In other words, wool keeps our body warm in cold weather and releases heat in hot weather, which keeps our skin cool. At the same time, wool, like silk, wicks moisture away from the skin and can absorb 30% of its weight without feeling wet.
Wool is also dirt resistant and requires minimal maintenance.
The yarn is STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX®.
