Twig & Horn's all new adjustable buttons are easy to move and place anywhere on your knits, without worrying about damage or residual stretch. The perfect blend of quality materials and elegant design, their natural leather is embossed with a floral pattern, which easily complements a wide range of hand knit projects. Turn a shawl into a poncho or ruana; or turn a ruana into a cardigan. Style a shawl or scarf to your liking and keep the look in place all day.
These beautiful buttons can be worn in three ways:
- Debossed side (pattern) outward
- Plain side out
- suede side
Depending on the look you're going for, the screw-down back can go to the back (facing the garment). Below we have outlined some simple steps on how to use adjustable post buttons. Also refer to the explainer video for a quick demonstration!
- Unscrew the end of the screw and the rod
- Remove the back button
- Then, either by trying on the garment or laying it flat, determine where you want to place the button
- Place the front half of the button through both layers of your garment and put the second layer of the button back; then screw on the back. The screw can be easily tightened with your fingertips, no tools required
Maintenance tips :
The adjustable buttons are natural leather with no color or finish and the edges are rustic. Be sure to remove the buttons from your garment before washing (do not immerse them in water as this will damage the leather). Keep the edges of the buttons smooth with fine grit sandpaper or enjoy their rustic edges as they age.
