Description
Knitting for Olive Pure Silk is a soft and exclusive yarn of pure bourette silk (raw silk) produced from silk fibers collected from the cocoons after the pupae have been able to turn into moths and escape.
Silk has important thermal regulating qualities and can therefore be used in clothing throughout the year. Silk can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture while remaining dry against the skin, making it particularly suitable for summer wear. At the same time, silk, like wool, has insulating properties that allow it to retain heat in cold weather.
The small butterfly on the label indicates that the pupae may have evolved into butterflies, allowing them to complete their life cycle.
Our spinning mill adheres to ethical, technical and environmental standards, resulting in yarns that are free of harmful chemicals.
The yarn is STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX®.
